Reverend Donnie Carl Chambers was installed as the pastor of Red Hill in October 1992. He received his Bachelor of Divinity degree May 14, 1987 from Columbia Institution in Spartanburg, SC. Reverend Chambers was ordained in 1984 at Golden Grove Baptist Church in Traveler’s Rest, SC. He served as pastor of the Goodwill Baptist Church in Greenville, SC for four years. Rev. Chambers also served as one of the associate pastors at Zion Baptist Church, Washington Street, Columbia, SC. He is affiliated with the South Carolina Congress of Christian Education and is a member of the Columbia Chapter of the NAACP. He served as Moderator, Vice Moderator and Executive Chair for the Wateree Baptist Association Upper Division.

Rev. Chambers’ vision for Red Hill is to rid itself of traditional rituals that have nothing to do with reaching souls for Christ but rather to develop and equip ourselves for witnessing and sharing the Word of God. He often reminds, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
